Family name means 姓 in
Chinese. Family name is widely use in daily life. Except who are your familiar
or families, you will call he Mr. + his family name (姓+先生), or
he Miss/Mrs. + her family name（姓+小姐/女士）

some one ask this to you, you can say “免贵姓+your
family name”, so you can say “免贵姓张”, or
“小姓张”. In
China, “贵”
usually say to others, so when you ask some one’s family name, you can use
“贵”，but
when you answer, you can not say yourself “贵”。

怎么称呼您呢？It
is similar as “what is your name?” – some people will also say “你的名字叫什么？”
or “你叫什么名字？”
However, it is reported that in business talking or on phone, “您贵姓” or
“怎么称呼您呢？”
are widely use more. If some one ask “怎么称呼您呢？”
You can say your family name + 先生/小姐(女士), for example - 张先生.
