QinHuangDao Longevity Mountain

QingHuangDao Longevity Mountain (秦皇岛长寿山) is located about 9 kilometers in the northeast of ShanHai Guang. Longevity Mountain is praised as the natural garden at the foot of Great Wall.

Longevity means “long life (长寿)” in Chinese. The whole scenic spots is based on natural scenic, and the theme is long life. When you visit Longevity Montain, you will find unique mountain, local culture, and feeling of long life.

At the gate of the mountain, you will find 3 powerful Chinese characters – “长寿山”, which was wrote by Mr. SunMo, a famous calligrapher at 108 years old. When you go into the gate, you will find many famous doctors’ statues in old China, such as Huatuo, Zhangcujing, LiShiZhen… These statues are designed by Chinese Sculptors LiuKaiQu, ZengZuShao and FutianQiu. While the Wonderful Chinese caracters “神医石窟” was wroted by another famous calligrapher WuZuoren.

Besides, You will find Chinese character “寿” in many different styles in a large stone tablets, which is a wonderful handwriting. Further more, there is a 117 meters long cave, which is the largest Granite cave in China, also a unique cave in the world. There are caves in the caves, and caves outside the caves, caves on the caves.

Tips: If you plan to visit QinHuangDao Longevity Mountain, you can take bus No. 3, 4, 25 to the ShanHaiGuan South Gate Stop, and transfer with Travel line bus. 

Fragrant Hills Park

Fragrant Hills Park, also called Xiangshan Park in China. Fragrant Hills Park is located on the eastern side of the western hills, about 20 kilometers from the center of Beijing. The Fragrant Hills Park was built in 1186, now it is more than 800 years old and has been one of the famous park in Beijing.

Do you know why the hills called as fragrant hills? It is said that there were two origin:

1. The shape of highest peak looks like incensory, so it called as incensory, in Chinese is it shot for Xiangshan, in English is Fragrant Hills. 

2. Because there are apricot flower on the hills, when the in blossom season, it is very fragrant on the hill, so people called it as Fragrant Hills.

When you go to Fragrant Hills, you can find many historical relics. Such as Biyun temple built during Ming and Qing Dynasty, 500 Luohan Tang, Xishanqiangxue… If you go to Fragrant Hills in spring, you will find many flowers, while in summer it is a cool place; and in Autumn, many people go to Fragrant Hills to enjoy the red leaves; in winter, the silver white snow is a perfect sight.

Tips:

If you plan to enjoy the sight of red leaves, the best season is from the middle of Oct – the earlier of Nov. Usually, the red leaves will be on the trees about one month.

Fragrant Hills Park opens 6:00 – 19:00 everyday.

No. 318, 331, 360, quick 360 line, 696, 698 and get off at Fragrant Hills Stop;

No. 634 and get off East Gate of Fragrant Hills Stop;

No. 505, special 5 line and get off Xiang Quan Huandao Stop;

No. 630 and get off Beijing Plant Park Stop.

Yandang Mountain

Yandang Mountain (雁荡山), locating in Yueqing Wenzhou City Zhejiang Province, is of the first group of national important scenic sites and it is considered as one of ten famous mountains in China. The name "yandang" comes from the lake of beautiful view on the top of the mountain and where the spreading reed, and the wild geese come and live here in autumn. Yandang Mountain, famous for its peaks, screen-like peaks, caves and waterfalls, is a mountainous natural resort on seaside. With the good reputation of "the famous mountain in the sea", "the emperor of mountains" it was called as "The First Mountain in Southeast China". With abundant and rich culture, it was set afoot in South and North Dynasty, and developed in Tang Dynasty.

Yandang Mountain was formed 120 million years ago. It is a typical ancient rhyolite volcano with area of 450 square meters in total, 550 scenic sites and 8 scenic zones included. Lingfeng Peak, Lingyan Rock and Dalong Qiu Waterfall are called as "Three Famous Scenic Sites of Yandang Mountain".

Yandang Mountain has its special features, "it can stand scrutiny in daytime, and it can thrill with joy at night", "Different positions, different sceneries" and "Tasting seafood while watching landscape". All of these are the three features which are different from other famous mountains.
